In disaster situations, mobile networks are often overloaded or unavailable. An independent infrastructure for informing the public is therefore essential. DAB offers a robust and established transmission network that continues to function reliably even in crisis situations.

With the MAGIC Collaboration Services, the MAGIC telephone hybrids enable connection to WebRTC and the Microsoft Teams collaboration software.

In order to broadcast a report when the studios are unmanned – which is often the case at many radio stations in the evenings and at night – a reporter can use the Remote Reporting Upgrade to carry out a live report via his mobile phone.
