Product Details

MAGIC TH1 Go can be configured in two way: It can be used via the LAN interface as a 1-Channel VoIP Hybrid or via the analog interface as a 1-Channel POTS Hybrid (analog a/b telephone lines).

As a special highlight the VoIP Option for MAGIC TH1 Go already includes outstanding HD Voice (G.722) quality in addition to the standard 3.1-kHz telephone quality. Conversations from and to telephones which are HD Voice compatible can be established in 7-kHz quality – which means with twice the Audio bandwidth and with a much higher speech intelligibility.

Various operating concepts

In addition to the front panel operation the system can be controlled especially comfortably via an HTML5 compatible web browser. With the optional Windows PC software, an SQL database is also available and the configuration of the available software extensions, such as AES67 or Pretalk Streaming, is possible.

Alternatively or in parallel a POTS telephone can be connected to the MAGIC TH1 Go Hybrids. With this telephone the complete system operation is possible. In contrast to other solutions the telephone is not disconnected by a relay from the hybrid after talking to the caller but allows full control in each line status.

Options

MAGIC TH1 Go VoIP & HD Voice Option

The software activation allows the LAN interface of the MAGIC TH1 Go to be used for VoIP calls. The extension available in the combination package also includes HD Voice (G.722). In this way, calls from HD Voice compatible telephones can be received in 7 kHz quality. Of course, outgoing calls are also transmitted in 7 kHz quality if the remote station is G.722 capable.

MAGIC TH1 Go POTS Option

To use the POTS interface for connection to analogue telephone lines, it must be enabled via the software upgrade.

Telephone for MAGIC TH1 Go

An analogue telephone can be connected to the MAGIC TH1 Go Telephone Hybrid for control purposes. Incoming calls can be accepted in Pretalk to make a first conversation with the caller. The caller can then be switched to ON AIR or HOLD using the phone's short dial keys. If desired, the caller can also be put back on Pretalk - again with the help of a single button on the phone. Of course it is also possible to dial via the telephone and establish an outgoing call. In addition, AGC (Automatic Gain Control) and the Voice Disguise function can be switched on or off. The caller line can also be locked or unlocked.

MAGIC System Manager Upgrade

If a broadcasting station has several AVT telephone hybrids and audio codecs, these can be displayed in the MAGIC System Manager. This central management software allows a clear presentation of all MAGIC TH1 Go, MAGIC TH2plus, MAGIC TH6, MAGIC THipPro and MAGIC ACip3 systems. Even if the system uses different software versions, all devices are supported. For each device, possible alarms and the operating status (in use, in configuration) are displayed. The query is made cyclically via SNMP. System Monitor, Registration Dialog, System Panel and Firmware Download can be accessed.

All hybrids and codecs can also be configured remotely from an administrative location. A complete remote configuration of the system is possible, all presets and super presets can be managed. For security reasons, the current status of the line is displayed. In the future also desired systems are to be selected and then on appropriate clients and systems a new release is to be rolled out completely. Reconfiguration is also planned, either manually or via a scheduler. Presets and super presets can be loaded quickly and easily, as well as SIP accounts can be assigned or changed.

One MAGIC System Manager license is required per system

MAGIC System Manager Upgrade

AES67 4-Channels Upgrade

The AES67 upgrade allows the use of four additional audio channels (4 x RX (1 Stream) und 4 x TX (1 Stream)) over IP via AES67. AES67 is the lowest common denominator of several similar technologies and ensures communication between e.g. AES67 compatible Dante and Ravenna devices.

The optional Windows PC software or the System Manager Upgrade is required for configuration.

Pretalk Streaming Upgrade

MAGIC TH1Go also supports the so-called Pretalk Streaming function. With this Upgrade the LAN connection between the control PC and the hybrid can be used for Pretalk which means no Audio cabling is required. The conversation with the caller is done via the PC sound card or a USB Headset. Besides, Pretalk Streaming allows you to record the caller and presenter signals as WAV file.

The optional Windows PC software or the System Manager Upgrade is required for configuration.

Remote Reporting Upgrade

In order to broadcast a report when the studios are unmanned – which is often the case at many radio stations in the evenings and at night – a reporter can use the Remote Reporting Upgrade to carry out a live report via his mobile phone. After dialling into the device, a freely definable PIN must be entered. A confirmation tone then sounds to indicate whether the entry was correct. The caller is then switched directly to the programme. To end the transmission, the reporter simply has to hang up.

The Remote Reporting Upgrade can also be used for emergency announcements. Instead of a reporter, the police, fire brigade or emergency services can then dial in directly. To prevent misuse, certain phone numbers can be white-listed in the phone book. Only these authorised numbers can then dial in.

The upgrade can only be configured with the optional Windows PC software or the System Manager Upgrade. For the evaluation of the PIN, the optional DTMF Analyzer Plug-In is additionally required.

Ember+ Extension Upgrades

For a more complex Ember+ configuration, the Ember+ Extension Upgrade offers simplified programming thanks to an improved function overview. The Ember+ Consumer Extension licence is used for DHD mixers, for LAWO consoles the Ember+ Dial Pad Extension licence is used. Only one licence can be activated for MAGIC TH1Go.

The optional Windows PC software or the System Manager Upgrade is required for configuration.

MAGIC TH1 19" Dual Mounting Kit

A 19" Dual Mounting Kit is available for the MAGIC TH1 Go Telephone Hybrid, with which two devices can be mounted side by side in a 19" rack. The standard scope of delivery of the above-mentioned devices already includes mounting brackets for mounting one device in a 19" rack.

GSM Adapter

If the POTS option is enabled, MAGIC TH1 Go can be extended with a GSM adapter. This allows the device to be operated even where no outside line is available. The transmission takes place in 3.1 kHz telephone quality. The Quad-Band GSM-Adapter is designed for 850/900/1800/1900 MHz networks.

The adapter is connected to the device via the POTS interface. The PIN code for activating the GSM interface must then be entered. After the network synchronization is displayed, incoming calls are signalled to the device and the systems can set up a call.
