The digital broadcast technology DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) is a broadband system, with which several programmes (Audio and data services) can be transmitted from one or more programme providers in one Ensemble.
DAB+ is a further development of the DAB standard. In comparison to DAB, the DAB+ technology allows the transmission of a higher number of Audio programmes with additional data (at the same Audio quality) because of a higher Audio compression. In simple terms, DAB+ allows more Audio and data services in one Ensemble and in this way a more efficient use of ressources.
DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) is a DAB-based technology which offers a variety of innovative services such as e.g. Mobile TV, traffic announcements, interactive programmes.
