The Surround Processing System MAGIC SP2 MAGIC SP2 provides three separate digital AES3 Audio interfaces for the input of the 5.1 multi channel sound. With the new downmix algorithm of the Institut für Rundfunktechnik (IRT) the inserted Audio signals are converted into a Stereo output signal, which is available via analogue XLR Audio interfaces or a digital AES3 Audio interface. Because of the usage of powerful signal processors a fast and therewith latency optimized implementation is possible. Thereby the system can be operated under real time conditions. For monitoring the downmix signal and the multi channel Audio inputs you can connect headphones at the frontside of the unit. The inserted 5.1 multi channel signals are additionally looped through and provided at three separate digital AES3 Audio outputs for further use.

Operation

The complete system configuration can be handled via the frontkeypad and the graphical lighted display. During normal operation the level of the 5.1 multi channel sound as well as the level of the stereo downmix sound signal are diplayed. Alternatively, system configuration and monitoring can be handled comfortably via the Windows PC software included in delivery

Monitoring

For integrating in a network management system the SNMP function can be used. Currently SNMP V2 is supported.
